Committees

OVUUC is run by a number of volunteer committees and a few elected committees. Each committee has a page with a description of their charge and other information about their areas of concern. If you have an issue directly related to a committee, please email the board member who is the liaison for that area.

Volunteer Committee Responsibilities

Buildings and Grounds Committee: Takes care of facilities issues including upkeep and repairs.

Canvass Committee: Plans and does the annual pledge drive.

Finance Committee: Assists the treasurer with putting together the yearly budget and monitoring and evaluating our investments.

Membership Committee: Deals with visitors and membership issues.

Religious Exploration Committee: Oversees all aspects of RE including children’s, youth, family and adult programming.

Worship Committee: Plans the Sunday services and ensures that any issues around services are addressed.

 

Elected Committees/Groups

The Nominating Committee: This committee is responsible for recruiting and nominating people to serve in elected positions.
