Interfaith Meditation Mission Statement

All are welcome – you do not need to be UU, Buddhist, or have any experience with meditation.

Please come join us regardless of your meditation experience or religious background. You can meditate with a meditation cushion (if you have one) or with a chair. We only ask that you bring your true intention to experience the benefits of meditation to calm and heal your body and mind.

“The function of meditation practice is to heal and transform. Meditation, as understood in Buddhist tradition, helps us to be whole, and to look deeply into ourselves and around us in order to realize what is really there. The energy that is used in meditation is mindfulness; to look deeply is to use mindfulness to light up the recesses of our mind, or to look into the heart of things in order to see their true nature.”
